LANE HENDERSON JOINER
Lead Teacher for the Grades
Miss Lane was born and raised in Newberry, SC. She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008 with a BFA in Interior Design. While there, she developed an interest in Educational Design and completed her senior Capstone Project centered around designing a 125,000 sq ft K-12 Montessori school in Virginia.
In 2016, she graduated from LifeWays North America in Asheville, NC with a Master’s certificate in Early Childhood Waldorf Education, and continues to pursue certification for each grade level every summer at Sunbridge Institute in New York.
Currently, she is a Doctoral Candidate for the Sacred, Natural, and Bioenergetic Medicine program at the Institute of Bioenergetic Medicine in Colorado, where her intended focus post-graduation is family care & pediatrics.
Miss Lane founded Five Rose Lane in 2017 as a home-based program and expanded its offerings in 2019. She also heads up our after-school performing arts program, Stagemakers, and co-directs the Newberry Ballet Guild. She has been married to Brad for 11 years. She also has 2 daughters and 4 cats. In her spare time, Miss Lane enjoys dabbling in different visual arts and traditional crafts, spending time in nature, and reading/research.
