LORRI SHANNON

Miss Lorri was born in Nashville, TN and raised in West Columbia, SC. She was blessed to be able to stay home with her children until they reached school age. In 2012, she graduated from Newberry College with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and then from Lander University in 2017 with a Master’s degree in Primary Montessori Education. She taught Primary Montessori in Greenwood School District 50 for 5 years. She has been married for nearly 21 years and has 3 children who are 18, 16, and 14. She has a cat named Luna and a dog named Bailey, and she lives in Newberry. When she’s not in the classroom, Lorri can be found hanging out with her family or onstage with the Newberry Community Players at The Ritz Theater.
